This museum-quality, old, used hour glass drum belonged to a high-ranking musician. The metal bells add power to the music. The drum is also referred to as a "talking drum" in that it can reproduce the tonality of many words in several African languages. It was used to sound the beat for music-accompanied ceremonies.
